Get to Know Me

Kezia Melissa Benjamin is an ambitious artist, a fearless mother, a courageous leader, and an overall compassionate individual. Her care for others is represented in each and every piece of art she creates.

Art For Grief.

My Name is Kezia Benjamin, I am originally from Linstead Parish, Jamaica born to Christopher Atherall and Sheila Goudeau. I am one of eleven children who grew up in various places in the world due to missionary work such as Samoa, Japan, Hawai'i, Trinidad, Puerto Rico etc. After the business of my youth, I have settled and raised my own family in Virginia Beach, Virginia alongside my dedicated f'iance by which the name Art For Grief (AFG) originated. I am passionate about bringing individuals closure after pain through dimensional empathy art. After the passing of my father Christopher Atherall, on Christmas Eve of twenty-twenty four I had put down my paintbrush and pencil and had zero intention of furthering his legacy. He was an outstanding freelance artists who spent many years under different cultures professing his art but soon abandoned it in his older years. When he left the Earth, his calling suddenly became mine. It is my mission to fulfill what he could not. Picking up the mantle after hearing God tell me to "Begin Again," following confirmation through Prophet Gary Wiggins stating "You need to fulfill your Father's legacy under the banner Art For Grief."
